This incident happened sometime last week in Lagos. A Naija American returneee was stopped at the Monument bank premises in Egbeda, Lagos, for wearing green cargo trousers, which in Nigeria is considered to be military outfit. Sadly for him the entire incident was secretly filmed using an electronic cigarette disguised as a camera!
The policeman who was carrying a gun, demands dollars from the man and suggested they go to a currency exchange to convert Naira to Dollars. At some point in the video, he threatens to take the American returnees to the police station should they refuse to pay: “Bring better thing, that one is not money, I don tell you finish o!” he can be heard saying when they gave him Naira notes.
The video has gone viral since it was posted on the Youtube video channel. Watch the whole clip when you continue.
