Kim Kardashian the diplomat?! Kim and Khloe Kardashian are currently in Armenia where they met with the prime minister in an effort to explore their heritage.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars were in the capital city of Yerevan where they met with PM Hovik Abrahamyan to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Armenian genocide when over 1.5 million Armenians perished at the hands of the Ottoman Empire. Kim and Khloe attended a speech where they were honored by the government for their heritage.

“It was an honor to meet the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan who expressed how proud they are that we are proud Armenians and we have not forgotten our roots! #NeverForget” – wrote Kim on her instagram page.
Their father Robert Kardashian was a third-generation Armenian-American and impressed upon his children the importance of their heritage. The family has mentioned it on their shows and in previous interviews. During their meeting with the Prime Minister, Kim and Khloe were reportedly praised for “staying in touch” with their roots and bringing awareness to Armenian history.
None of the Kardshians speak Armenian, although according to TMZ they promised to learn it (yeah right – that would interfere with selfies and plastic surgery) and apologized for not knowing it. The PM was unbothered and lauded the girls with a huge flower arrangement to symbolize the anniversary.
A source reveals to Us Weekly that “some parts” of the emigre mission will be filmed but Kim and Khloe want to “spend a lot of time there off camera and really getting to know the country.”

And since Kim and Khloe both brought hair and makeup people along for the trip, all signs point to this being filmed for KUWTK!

The Associated Press reports that Kim and Khloe will also make a pilgrimage to Gyumri to visit distant relatives. Kim and Khloe were also granted a plot of land by the Armenian government and on the deed of ownership, Khloe’s last name is still listed as Odom since they’re still technically married. Khloe has since deleted the photo she shared on Instagram.
