According to DailyMail, the hedge fund manager popped the question last weekend, after dating Prince William’s sister-in-law for less than a year.
A source tells the tabloid that Pippa’s beau “completely and totally surprised” the brunette beauty when he got down on one knee in the Lake District!
And, the insider also explained that James even asked for the approval of Miz Middleton’s father before the romantic moment, saying:
“James is a traditionalist and very much wanted to do things properly. That meant getting his future father in law’s consent.”
It sounds like Pippa’s poppa was totally onboard, because the confidante confessed:
“Mike and Carole are very happy. They like James and they are sure he will make Pippa very happy.”
The precious pair has been spotted together since September, so we’re glad that their love has really bloomed!
