Sony is giving us the chance to fulfill our childhood dream of going to The Crazy Maze. Sony is giving their fans a chance to experience the original PlayStation classic console, so if you’re looking for a new game console, search no more. This is your year!
The new PlayStation mini console would feature 20 legendary games like Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer.
Two useful controllers would be included in the box, along with a HDMI cable. The eject disc is also been given a nice touch. It would be used to change the games because the AC adapters would be sold separately.
By estimate, the new PlayStation Classic would be 45% smaller than the original PS1 Note. It would be totally different from the PS1, which has a small design of the original console.
In a statement released by Sony on the PlayStation Classic, Sony said:
“Almost 25 years ago, the original PlayStation was introduced to the world. Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment, it was the first home console in video game history to ship 100 million units worldwide, offering consumers a chance to play games with real-time 3D rendered graphics in their homes for the first time.”
“Long-time fans will appreciate the nostalgia that comes with rediscovering the games they know and love, while gamers who might be new to the platform can enjoy the groundbreaking PlayStation console experience that started it all.”
Rumour have it that Nintendo are also planing to contend with Sony’s PlayStation by release a mini version of N64.
It’s a good thing that they are planing to revive the long forgotten consoles. So whether you’re a Sony or Nintendo Fan, it’s time to grab your Walkman cassettes and get ready for push-pops because we’re going back to the 90s.
