Wizkid is getting acknowledgment from the government of Minnesota in the United States, with October 6th, officially set aside in honour of his name, ‘Wizkid Day.’
According to an Instagram post made available on his Twitter page, this feat was achieved as he became the first African artist to ever sell out the Skyway Theatre in Minnesota, US on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
Also taking to his instagram page, Wizkid shared a post on the event with the caption, ”Sold out again last night! Love u Minnesota, y’all in my heart forever.”
The Governor of Minnesota, Mark Brandt Dayton described Wizkid as ”One of the most influential artists” on a night when he performed some of his hit singles like ‘Soco’, ‘Manya’, In My Bed’ and ‘Ojuelegba’ before a sold-out crowd.
