The governor stated this while reacting to the report that the late Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasiru Ajanah, died of coronavirus complication.

KanyiDaily had reported that Ajanah died in the early hours of last Sunday after a protracted illness at the COVID-19 isolation centre in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Speaking on Tuesday at a prayer session for the late Nasiru Ajanah on Tuesday, Governor Bello insisted that the late Chief Judge died a natural death, as he (Ajanah) had been battling illness before COVID-19 came into the country.

Noting that COVID-19 was creatednto shorten the lifestyle of the people, the governor asked the people not to accept what he described as “cut and paste disease″, adding that nothing kills faster than fear.

“Whether medical experts and scientists believe it or not, COVID-19 is out to shorten the lifestyle of the people, it is a disease propagated by force for Nigerians to accept.

“COVID-9 is only out to create fear, panic orchestrated to reduce and shorten the lifespan of the people,” he said.

Governor Bello described the late Chief Judge as an “outstanding jurist, who left a memorable imprint on the legal profession in the country and a lover of peace”.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has so far announced three cases of COVID-19 in Kogi, but the state government has insisted that the state is free of the disease.
