“103 In Plateau, 70 In Lagos” – Nigeria Records 443 New Coronavirus Cases As Total Rises To 45,687

Nigeria has recorded 443 more cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing its total infections to 45,687.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 443 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infection in the country to 45,687.

The NCDC made this known on Friday night via its verified Twitter handle, where it disclosed that Plateau State recorded the highest number of infections with 103 cases, with Lagos State following with 70 cases.

Other states with new COVID-19 cases include: FCT-60, Ondo-35, Edo-27, Rivers-27, Kaduna-20, Osun-19, Borno-18, Oyo-18, Kwara-11, Adamawa-9, Nasarawa-7, Gombe-6, Bayelsa-4 Imo-4, Bauchi-2, Ogun-2, Kano-1.

The health centre further revealed that 32,637 patients have now been discharged across the country, while 936 patients lost their lives to the coronavirus.

“On the 7th of August 2020, 443 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria,” NCDC said.

“The 443 new cases are reported from 19 states- Plateau (103), Lagos (70), FCT (60), Ondo (35), Edo (27), Rivers (27), Kaduna (20), Osun (19), Borno (18), Oyo (18), Kwara (11), Adamawa (9), Nasarawa (7), Gombe (6), Bayelsa (4), Imo (4), Bauchi (2), Ogun (2) and Kano (1).”

“Till date, 45687 cases have been confirmed, 32637 cases have been discharged and 936 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
