The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officials zoned the office of its National Chairman and National Secretary to the North Central and South-West respectively.
APC Unveils Zoning Formula
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, March 9, by the Director (Publicity) Salihu Dambatta, titled ‘APC CECPC approves zoning formula for national convention’.
Dambatta said the recommendations of the zoning were approved by the caretaker committee on Tuesday ahead of its national elective convention fixed for March 26.
According to the statement, the South-East would produce the Deputy National Chairman South; South-South would produce the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, among others.
It reads, “During its regular meeting on March 8, 2022, the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) approved the recommendations of the Committee on Zoning.”

This comes a few weeks after Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai revealed that APC has zoned the 2023 presidency to the Southern region, while the party’s National Chairmanship seat has been zoned to the north ahead of the 2023 elections.
