It was gathered that the victim went into the bush to defecate but on her way back, the three pupils of the Akure High School, Idris Matthew, Olawale Tobi, and Ajayi Micheal, accosted her and raped her.

However, Punch quoted another source saying that the suspects perpetrated the crime during break period, adding that the boys trailed and ambushed the victim at a lonely place behind the school.

The source said, “After they have raped her, the girl walked into the classroom with blood stain on her uniform. This indicated that she must have been deflowered.”

The source explained that one of the suspects had attempted to woo the victims but she turned him down and this prompted him to call his colleagues to trail the victim to the bush where the crime was committed.
