More than 100,000 Argentine fans took to the streets of Buenos Aires on Tuesday to welcome Messi and his all-conquering team on their return from Qatar.

The Argentinian footballers returned to Buenos Aires in the early hours of Tuesday, and the government announced it will be a national holiday to celebrate the World Cup triumph.

Taking to his Instagram page after their return, Messi shared photos showing him snugging the World Cup trophy while sleeping with the caption: “Buen día !,” which means Good morning.
