Calvin Klein sparks backlash for using a trans man to model sports bra

Calvin Klein has been chastised for employing a trans guy to showcase a sports bra.

Bappie Kortram can be seen wearing jeans and a sports bra in a promotional photo published by the brand.

Bappie, who is from the Netherlands, is represented by several modelling agencies throughout the world, including British Zebedee Talent, which describes him as a “trans man who has not yet had top surgery.”

The advertisement, which was first presented as part of the Calvin Klein Pride 2022 Campaign, went viral this week after being reposted on Twitter by Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis, who wrote, ‘Calvin Klein wants to go broke.’

Other people were astounded by the advertisement, with one saying, ‘Disgusting and I love Calvin Klein jeans. This is not a good advertisement for his clothes. Stop caving in to all of these demands since it will only harm your brand in the long term.’
