Nigerians have voiced alarm on social media about Nollywood actress-turned-politician Funke Akindele’s depression message.
Concern emerged as Funke expressed an emotional take on the reality of depression and the importance of being kind to others in a tweet on Wednesday.
“Depression is real,” the Jenifa actress tweeted. Please be considerate to others. Yes, don’t trade your happiness for anything, but be humane in everything you do. In this world, we are all on a journey. Be mindful. Take note. Share. Make a pact. Take chances and be thankful for your successes and victories. However, be mindful, love, forgive, and be joyful.”
