Toke Makinwa, a Nollywood actress and media personality, has stated that her subsequent success can be attributed to how she carried herself during her divorce crisis.
People had varied interpretations of her marriage, she claimed, adding that she was singled out for criticism after her marriage to Maje Ayida failed in 2015.
This was said in the most recent episode of her YouTube vlog series, Toke Moments.
According to report, Makinwa and Ayida split up in 2015 after she realized he had pregnant his ex-girlfriend.

The actress claimed she was devastated because she was the victim and was yet blamed for their divorce.
“I woke up being talked about on radio and television,” she explained. People had different ideas about what they believed my marriage was, how they thought it worked, and what they felt would have lead us to where we are now.
“I don’t think there has been any news in Nigeria that has been that chaotic.”
“I was trending on Twitter nonstop with people saying the most horrible things.” I couldn’t even stop myself because I was thinking, how am I being blamed for something that occurred to me?
