Benue Cyclist, Emmiwuks Reaches Out To Davido As Singer Makes Long-Awaited Return To Lagos

A now-famous cyclist, Emmanuel Myam, better known as Emmiwuks, has reached out to Afrobeats superstar, Davido, upon learning about the singer’s return to Lagos.

KanyiDaily recalls that Emmiwuks gained widespread attention on August 3 when he embarked on a bicycle ride from Benue to Lagos to meet with Davido.

Although Davido advised him to turn around and go home because he was not in the country, Emmiwuks insisted that he was not going back to Benue until he present his gift to the singer in Lagos.

Davido also asked Emmiwuks to provide his bank account details and head back home, stressing that he would meet him upon his return to Nigeria.

The cyclist expressed gratitude for Davido’s offer to send a monetary blessing, but he preferred to wait for Davido’s return to hand over the gift he brought from Benue personally.

On August 18, Emmiwuks finally reached his destination in Lagos, where he was greeted with an enthusiastic and joyous reception by the Tiv community residing in the state.

In a new development, Former Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Kiddwaya shared a video on his Instagram, capturing the moment aboard Davido’s private jet as they embarked on a trip to Lagos.

Kiddwaya’s caption on the post announced their touchdown in Lagos.

Emmiwuks, who exhibited remarkable patience while awaiting Davido’s arrival in Lagos, took to Twitter to make a sincere plea.

He called upon his followers to tag Davido and join in helping him realize his lifelong dream of finally meeting the music icon.

The cyclist wrote: “The Welcome back. Home boss @davido. Your boy is still here waiting sir. Pls boss attend to your boy MZAMBER Please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.”

As of the time of filing its report, there’s been no word from Davido in response to Emmiwuks’ outreach.

Likewise, Emmiwuks himself has yet to confirm whether a meeting arrangement has been established or not.

KanyiDaily recalls that following his 15-day journey, Emmiwuks shared a video of himself on a hospital bed while being connected to intravenous drips that were firmly affixed to his hand.
