Daniil Medvedev, a Russian tennis player, recently chose Argentina’s Lionel Messi above Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo as his favorite.
Medvedev, who is now ranked third in the ATP World Rankings, compared Messi to tennis legend Roger Federer.
Medvedev stated (as reported by A Bola Portugal) on an Instagram live:
I respect both of them. But Leo does things with the ball that Cristiano [Ronaldo] can’t do.
“In this, Messi is like Federer. You don’t understand how they do it.”

Messi and Ronaldo are two of the greatest footballers of the modern era.
The duo have won twelve Ballon d’Or awards between themselves in the past.
They are currently in the tail-end of their glistering careers.
Messi currently plays for MSL club Inter Miami, while Ronaldo plays for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
