Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-lee have announced the dissolution of their marriage.
Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, are the couple’s two children. They’ve been married for 27 years.
They began dating after meeting on the set of the Australian TV show Corelli in 1995. Deb, an established actress, married Hugh, an upstart actor just out of theatre school, less than a year later.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the pair said in a statement on Friday, September 15. Our path has changed, and we have decided to part to pursue our respective growth.”

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The statement, signed “Deb and Hugh Jackman,” concludes: “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”
