The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has disposed of fake, expired, and substandard products valued at ₦1.3 billion in Abuja.
Professor Moji Adeyeye, NAFDAC’s Director General, was represented by Festus Ukadike at the Kuje dump site, where the agency carried out the destruction.
The items included expired drugs, hospital equipment, cosmetics, food items, and other products.
Additionally, expired food items voluntarily handed over by local and international organizations, such as the World Food Programme (WFP), were also destroyed.
