{"id":114,"date":"2022-07-27T22:21:53","date_gmt":"2022-07-27T22:21:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kanyidaily.com\/international\/?p=114"},"modified":"2022-07-27T22:21:53","modified_gmt":"2022-07-27T22:21:53","slug":"man-who-hasnt-stopped-farting-after-eating-ham-roll-5-years-ago-sues-food-stall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kanyidaily.com\/international\/2022\/07\/27\/man-who-hasnt-stopped-farting-after-eating-ham-roll-5-years-ago-sues-food-stall\/","title":{"rendered":"Man who hasn&#8217;t stopped farting after eating ham roll 5 years ago sues food stall"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>A man is suing a local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanyidaily.com\/international\/tag\/food\">restaurant<\/a> for \u00a3200,000 because he hasn\u2019t stopped farting since eating a ham roll five years ago.<\/h2>\n<p>46-year-old Tyrone Prades bought the sandwich during a visit to the Birmingham Christmas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanyidaily.com\/tag\/market\">market<\/a> with his family in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>His lawyers told the court that he suffered stomach cramps, fever, vomiting and diarrhea within hours after eating it and was\u00a0bedridden for five weeks with salmonella.<\/p>\n<p>He also added that his client has regular and uncontrollable flatulence ever since, embarrassing him in public and waking him up at night.<\/p>\n<p>Parkin said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe claimant continues to suffer from excessive flatulence, which causes him a great deal of embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe symptoms are, primarily, fatigue and altered bowel function associated with \u2018churning\u2019 within his abdomen and flatulence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe claimant\u2019s stomach continues to make frequent churning noises to the extent his sleep can become disrupted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe extent of the symptoms has been life-changing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload aligncenter wp-image-115 size-full\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D&#039;http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg&#039; viewBox%3D&#039;0 0 820 820&#039;%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kanyidaily.com\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Ham-and-Cheese-Roll-Ups-kanyidaily.jpg\" alt=\"ham roll man farting\" width=\"820\" height=\"820\" title=\"\"><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The lawyer also alleged that the restaurant in question was closed and deep-cleaned following a Public Health England investigation after other customers who bought food at the market also fell ill.<\/p>\n<p>Prades\u2019 case hinges on whether or not the flooring company boss was suffering from salmonella.<\/p>\n<p>Philip Davy, the barrister for Frankfurt Christmas Market Ltd \u2013 which served the ham sandwich \u2013 admitted council environmental health officers found e.coli on a knife, but no salmonella.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that, as Prades has not claimed he suffered from an e.coli infection, he must prove the salmonella allegation to receive the payout.<\/p>\n<p>Frankfurt Christmas Market Ltd denies blame but the case will now go to trial.<\/p>\n<p>Rory Badenoch, another of Prades\u2019 lawyers, said that the \u00a3200,000 figure could rise considering the ongoing impact on him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man is suing a local restaurant for \u00a3200,000 because he hasn\u2019t stopped farting since eating a ham roll five years ago. 46-year-old Tyrone Prades bought the sandwich during a visit to the Birmingham Christmas market with his family in 2017.
