The Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has revealed that Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has many corruption cases to answer.
The executive secretary of the committee, Sadiq Radda disclosed this at the 26th Anti-Corruption Situation Room (ACSR) assessment held in AAbuja on Thursday.
KanyiDaily had reported how Ganduje wife, Hafsat, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraud in October 2021.
Hafsat was said to have been arrested following the petition by her son, Abdulazeez Ganduje, who claimed his mother was involved in bribery and fraud.
Speaking during the event on Thursday, Sadiq Radda said he was surprised by how Ganduje’s son reported his mother to anti-corruption agencies for alleged fraud.
Radda said, “The governor has many cases to answer while in office and even more after leaving office.
“You can see in Kano, Ganduje has many cases to answer while in office, he will answer more out of office and sadly for the first time in Nigeria a son is taking his mother to the EFCC.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Governor Ganduje had previously been involved in a corruption-related scandal since 2018 when Daily Nigerian published a series of videos that showed the governor collecting money from government contractors.
