Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo has mocked the Nigeria’s Super Eagles after a goalless draw against the Black Stars of Ghana in the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off tie.
KanyiDaily recalls that the actor had promised to trek barefooted from Accra to Lagos if Ghana loses to Nigeria at the 40,000–capacity Baba Yara Stadium – where both teams had battle for the ticket to the World Cup finals in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
After the football match ended in goalless draw on Friday 25th, March 2022, the 38-year-old actor took to his Facebook page to taunt the Nigerian team, which he described as “Super chickens.”
Dumelo, who bragged about being confident that the Super Eagles can’t defeat Ghana, said he’s offering some ginger to the Nigeria team before they fly back to their country.
He wrote, “Dear super chickens, i was confident you Won’t win this game. But before you leave for N’ja, I have free ginger from my farm for you. Your truly… John Dumelo. Son of Likpe.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Ghanaian Member of Parliament, Patrick Boamah had urged the Black Stars to withdraw from the world cup qualifiers against the Super Eagles of Nigeria and focus on building the team for long-term success.
