Our mission is to inform and entertain our audience by publishing true stories that matter about Nigeria and beyond.

Story corrections and Editor’s Notes

We strive to get everything right, but occasionally – like any media outlet – we do make errors.

We don’t run corrections for minor typos (misspellings, inconsequential numerical errors, grammatical errors) that do not change the meaning of the story.

Any time we make an error that rises above this threshold, Kanyi Daily.com has a policy of correcting factual errors quickly, transparently and run a correction at the bottom of the story. We also add to stories after they are published when relevant new information emerges. If you believe we have published something that is factually wrong, or otherwise unfair, please email us at [email protected].

Write “Correction request” in the subject line. In the body of the email, include a link to the story you are concerned about. Give as much supporting evidence as you can for your correction request, so that we can quickly adjust stories if need be.

When no factual error was made but we’ve edited a story to clarify, add information, or add context, we run an Editor’s Note at the bottom of the story explaining the change.

Complimentary Events, Meals And Press Trips

Our editorial department is often approached by PR agencies, businesses, and brands offering complimentary event tickets, meals, and press trips.

On a case by case basis, we accept these offers in order to publish more stories on a wider range of food, lifestyle, and travel subjects than we’d otherwise be able to do with our own editorial budget.

It is imperative to us that we maintain our editorial independence and are honest with our readers, and we only write about something if we think it’s interesting or useful to our audience.

Email Communication/Comments

If you do post content or submit material, including emails sent to [email protected], KanyiDaily.com employees, affiliates or assigns, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant KanyiDaily.com and its affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media. You grant KanyiDaily.com and its affiliates and sublicensees the right to use the name and email address that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose. Names and other info may be redacted if requested, depending on the courtesy we are shown. Emails that are overly vile or plain stupid will be junked without reading. Finally, any threats of violence will be forwarded to law enforcement.

KanyiDaily.com has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. KanyiDaily.com takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.
