This comes in relation to the campaign council list for the Bayelsa governorship election which was released by the APC on Tuesday evening.
The list, which has since been withdrawn by the party, has the FCT minister’s name on it as a member of the council.
Reports say the immediate past Rivers governor was, although, included in the campaign council list for the People Democratic Party (PDP) too but it appears his loyalty lies with the APC.
The name of Nyesom Wike in the APC list comes amidst speculations that he may join the ruling party soon.
It may not be out of place if Wike chose to work for the APC to show his loyalty to the government he currently serves.
Also, his decision to work for the APC may be a result of the strained relationship he has with the incumbent governor of Bayelsa state, Duoye Diri in the last presidential election.
Meanwhile, the APC has since deleted the list it earlier released Claiming it was an “error”.
It wrote, “URGENT NOTICE: Our attention has been drawn to an error in the list of the National Campaign Council for the Bayelsa Governorship election. A corrected version will be posted shortly.”
