“No Proof Of Them Bullying Mohbad” – Naira Marley’s Lawyer Defends Him And Sam Larry [Video]

Olalekan Ojo, a lawyer to Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley, has argued that there is no evidence linking the artist to the death of his former signee, Mohbad.

During an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Ojo emphasized that despite claims, there is no indication that Naira Marley bullied Mohbad.

He said, “If anyone checks very well, they will not be able to find any evidence to back up claims that Naira Marley bullied Mohbad.

‘’As for Naira Marley, I believe very strongly that no matter how hard you look, you will not find a single incident where Naira Marley bullied him.”

He also defended Naira Marley’s associate, SamLarry, against accusations of bullying, stating that the online video showing an altercation during a music video shoot doesn’t represent the true situation.

Ojo highlighted that Mohbad’s claim of equipment vandalism was contradicted by evidence, as the same equipment was used for the video.

He said Mohbad refused to come to the police to substantiate his claims of bullying but that Sam Larry was at the police station three times to answer to the petition.

‘’As for Sam Larry, what I understand from speaking to his lawyers and speaking to him directly is that on that fateful day sometime in June 2023, he came to Elegushi beach for something else.

“I think they told him some people are shooting a video around the beach. Being somebody who is involved in promoting music, he wanted to know who know who was involved in the activity. So he went there.

“To confirm he did not know that it was Mohbad, if you look at that video, the first thing that came out of his mouth was ‘Oh it’s even you sef”, that was the first thing he said to show that he didn’t even know the person that was there. ‘oh it’s even you that is here sef. You are not going home today’.

“Immediately he said that, it was then that ZLatan got up and tried to stop him from approaching Mohbad.

“That video is a nine second video. It will interest you to know that there is a longer version of that video. The longer version of the video shows these guys eating Amala together shortly after that incident. You wouldn’t believe that.

“Zlatan was wearing the same shirt he was wearing at the video shoot. Sam Larry was there. I think Mohbad had changed his own clothes. That same day they went and ate Amala together.”

While acknowledging Zlatan’s intervention, he urged Zlatan to clarify the situation, expressing a desire for resolution rather than “ratting out” anyone.

He said, “I do not want to rat out ZLatan but I expect that ZLatan will come out and clarify these issues because we know what he said to people including Davido as it relates to that incident. He was specific as whether or not Sam Larry did anything to Mohbad  on that day”

Meanwhile, Lagos Police Command has confirmed that Mohbad died due to injuries sustained during a fight with his childhood friend, PrimeBoy, in Ikorodu.
