Fire Guts FCT Minister’s residence

Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, Minister of State in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), saw her private residence engulfed by fire on Sunday afternoon.

The property, situated at No. 9, Justice Roseline Ukeji Close, in the upscale Asokoro area of Abuja, was reportedly completely razed by the inferno

Despite efforts, including the arrival of fire service personnel, nothing could be salvaged from the property.

Mr. Austin Elemue, the Special Adviser on Media to the Minister, confirmed the incident, stating that the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

He stated that relevant authorities have commenced an investigation into the matter to determine the cause of the fire.
