In a statement released today, Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, described the price adjustment as a gesture of gratitude to Nigerians for their support in making the refinery project a reality.
“As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the Refinery a dream come true,” Chiejina stated.
The refinery also acknowledged the role of the government in fostering an environment conducive to domestic enterprise.
“This is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being”.
Dangote Refinery reassured Nigerians of its commitment to delivering high-quality petroleum products that are both environmentally friendly and sustainable.
“While the refinery would not compromise on the quality of its petroleum products, we assure you of best quality products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable,” Chiejina said.
The refinery further emphasized its dedication to ramping up production to meet and surpass Nigeria’s domestic fuel consumption needs.
“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption; thus, dispelling any fear of a shortfall in supply,” the statement concluded.
This price reduction comes at a critical time, offering some relief to Nigerians amid rising living costs. The move aligns with ongoing efforts to stabilize the local fuel market and ensure affordability for consumers.
As the largest refinery in Africa, the Dangote Refinery plays a pivotal role in Nigeria’s energy sector. Its commitment to domestic supply and sustainable practices continues to position it as a key player in the nation’s economic development.
