Actor John Amaefule Hospitalized Over Stroke, Seeks Financial Help [Video]

Veteran Nollywood actor, John Amaefule has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke, sparking concern among fans and colleagues in the film industry.

The news was shared by Nollywood producer Stanley Okereke, who took to Instagram to announce the actor’s condition and appeal for financial assistance.

According to Okereke, Amaefule suffered a stroke affecting the left side of his brain and is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owerri.

The producer urged Nigerians and members of the Nollywood community to support the actor’s medical expenses.

He shared details of the required tests and treatments, emphasizing the need for urgent medical intervention.

Stanley Okereke also provided a bank account for donations and encouraged people in the Nollywood industry to help spread the message.

He wrote, “Nollywood Vetran Actor John Amaefule was rushed to the hospital this morning in Owerri after encountering with Stroke.

“He’s suffering from stroke, the family is asking Nigerians to pls help🙏🙏 he’s currently in FCM Owerri and they need money to save this man.

“This message is from the doctor…He had a stroke in the left side of his brain. Which is likely causing right sided weakness, They need to do Lipid panel test, Hemoglobin Alc test, Electrolyte urea and creatinine test for him…

Then he needs to be on medications for Cholesterol – atorvastatin. Blood pressure – maybe losartan or hydrochlorothiazide if he’s not already on one and if he has diabetes or not

“He should be on aspirin and clopidogrel. Pls guys, I want everyone in Nollywood to repost this pls 🙏🙏 let’s save a life.

Fans and well-wishers have since been sending prayers and support, hoping for John Amaefule’s quick recovery.
