The ICPC had charged Mike Ozekhome with three counts of alleged forgery on January 16, 2026.
Ten days later, on January 26, the Attorney-General of the Federation took over the matter.
At a previous court session, lawyer to the Attorney-General, Rotimi Oyedepo, assured the court that the prosecution would handle the case carefully and in line with due process.
But when the case came up on Tuesday for Ozekhome to take his plea, Oyedepo asked the court for permission to withdraw it.
He said the Attorney-General’s office needed more time to examine and harmonize findings from different investigating agencies to properly prepare the case.
Justice Peter Kekemeke accepted the request and struck out the suit.
