5 killed, many injured in midnight attack in Plateau.

Five people have been killed in a midnight attack carried out by gunmen on Gwarim village in Rim District of the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State yesterday. The attack was alleged to have been carried out by
Fulani herdsmen.

Member Representing Riyom Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Mr. Daniel Dem, who confirmed the incident gave names of the deceased as Dinnatu Danbwarang (48), Simi Joseph (26), Rose Dalyop (25), Jafates Samuel (four), and Christiana Samuel (seven). He said the dastardly act occurred, while the victims were sleeping. Dem, who spoke in tears described the attack as coward.

He however, appealed to people in the area to remain calm and not take laws into their hands as appropriate measures are been taking to bring to an end, the senseless killings.
