“A member of the audience sent a note to me a while ago, questioning my presence here today because my offices were bombed yesterday (Thursday). But I want to say this minute, that I am not scared of Boko Haram and life must continue. Whether they bombed my office or not, I can never be scared of Boko Haram,” he declared, adding that days of the terrorist groups were numbered in Nigeria. “We shall take care of the injured and make sure that things continue to go on smoothly, but we are not scared of either Boko Haram or their sponsors. We remain unshaken,” he stressed, while the audience responded with a resounding applause.

Late Thursday, the management of ThisDay Newspapers had in a statement said the explosion that rocked its Abuja office on Thursday will not deter it from the fundamental principles on which the newspaper was founded.

It added that the newspaper will continue to flourish and remain committed to democracy, free enterprise and social justice in the country.
