Victoria Beckham’s wedding tiara has gone up for auction at a pre-auction value of $25-35k by UK auctioneers Bonhams. A hefty price for a piece of tiara! But to be fair, it’s not just any ‘Tiara’. It’s a carefully designed piece of artwork created by Irish-man and designer Slim Barratt – it’s a fantastically intricate piece of jewellery made entirely of gold and diamonds. Since the wedding in 1999, the coronet has been put on show at the Victoria & Albert Museum. But now Bonham’s is selling. This is how they describe it:
“A gold and diamond ‘East of Paris’ regal coronet, worn by Victoria Beckham on her wedding day. The lattice circlet with four openwork lozenges of irregular outline, each with pave-set brilliant-cut diamond detail and suspending brilliant and baguette-cut diamond drops. Interspersed with four smaller diverse motifs, each with central brilliant-cut diamond bombé section, mounted in 18 carat yellow gold with integral hair comb fitting at base.”
