Four suspects were yesterday paraded by the Kogi State Police Command, for allegedly raping an 18-year-old student in the state.
According to the Police Commissioner, Mr. Seidu Madawaki, the victim whose name was not disclosed, reported the incident herself at the Ankpa Police Station.
The girl said that the 5 men had accosted her while running an errand and that they had hit her with a charmed ring, after which she was taken into a bush.
The continued that the men took her phone, after which she was raped by 3 suspects, while the other two were recording the act on their phones.
The victims also alleged that the men had posted the recordings on the Internet and had printed some pictures which they circulated in the town.
Madawaki reportedly said some of the suspects had already been apprehended by the police and would be arraigned.
Two of the suspects – Bala Musa and Farouk – allegedly confessed to the crime. Farouk also said he took pictures of the act with his handset.
He, however, denied posting the pictures on the Internet or printing them.
