Norway Donates N259 Million To Nigeria To Support #bringbackourgirls

Mr Børge Brende with organisers of Norwegian #bringbackourgirls protest
While various countries have pledged their support to help bring back the abducted Chibok girls, Norway is taking things a step further by pledging financial support just like 16 year old Malala Yousafzai.
According to reports, the Norwegian government has decided to allocate 1.6 million USD (10 Million Norwegian Krone) (259 Million naira) to promote safe schooling in the Northern part of Nigeria and to help the communities affected by the abductions.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende made the pledge recently when he met supporters for the abducted girls.

“I am greatly concerned about the situation of the kidnapped girls in Nigeria. The Norwegian government strongly condemns Boko Haram’s brutal abduction of schoolgirls,”

Norway will also consider giving humanitarian aid to refugees and displaced people in the area.
