In an official letter which has already been to the Nigerian Senate, President Muhammadu Buhari, has nominated former Deputy Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Nsima Ekere and former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, as the Managing Director and the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) respectively
According to Vanguard, the nomination letter sent to Senate President Bukola Saraki on Wednesday, may be read on the floor of the Senate today, Thursday, July 21st.
As at the time of filing this report, Ekere’s appointment could not however be ascertained, but if it is confirmed, he will succeed Ibim Semenitari a former Commissioner of Information and Communications, Rivers State, who has been the Acting MD of the NDDC since December last year.
While Ndoma-Egba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who hails from Cross River State, will take over from Bassey Ewa-Henshaw, also from the state.
