We Didn’t Eat for 3 Days – Nigerian Athletes At Rio Olympics (Video)

The attitude of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration towards sports has been called to question following the lackluster handling of the preparations for the 2016 Rio Olympics competition in Brazil.

The participating Nigerian athletes in the 2016 Rio Olympics have bitterly lamented on the poor funding on the part of the government.

The under-23 football team/dream team where stranded at the camp in the United States of America and had to arrive without appropriate warm-up exercise some hours to the Japan match which they won by 5 goals to 4.

Some athletes who are to represent Nigeria in track and field events at the Olympics have also been begging for financial support. They launched a GoFundme account to raise money from the public.

In the video below, most of the athletes complained bitterly of lack of food in the camp which is an anomaly in sports considering the demand of physical energy.
