The final season of Game of Thrones is going to be coming out officially in April 2019, HBO has confirmed.
It had been rumoured for a long time, but a new teaser video released on Twitter has finally given fans of the show a date to look forward to.
The network also put together a short teaser to announce its #ForTheThrone campaign ahead of the final season of the show.
The final series of the show will see all of our questions answered – we hope – such as “will Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen realize they are blood relatives?”.
Oh, and we’ll probably find out who wins the ‘Game of Thrones’ outright and captures the Iron Throne and with it the Seven Kingdoms.
Either way, it’s taken some time to be ready, but it promises to be the biggest and best season yet.
According to Rolling Stone, HBO is planning a series of outdoor events in New York and Los Angeles to launch its #ForTheThrone campaign.
“The first kicks off November 27th at Grand Central Station in New York City and will include a limited run of Game of Thrones subway cards.”
The show won its third Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in September 2018, will have only six episodes in its eighth and final season.
HBO President Casey Bloys said earlier this year that the CGI, battles, and episodes are going to be bigger than ever. Episodes are going to run for around 90 minutes since you’ve asked.
Game of Thrones fans out there should brace-up for an exciting season finale in April.
