A man was caught after he stole turkey and chicken from a restaurant in Sapele, Delta State.
It was gathered that the suspect reportedly works in the baking section of the fast food joint.
He stole almost two cartons of chicken, 12 turkeys and about 10 chicken wings in the morning on Monday, December 31, and allegedly hid them in Palm kernel waste ahead of the New Year celebration, the next day.
According to reports, he was caught by the Director of the restaurant in the evening when he came back to the fast food joint to collect the stolen items.
Upon seeing what he was carrying, the director immediately called the police who arrested and took him into custody.
We guess he probably spent his New Year in the police custody.
