Dangote Breaks Silence On Nigeria’s Elections, Says There Are Better Days Ahead

The President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote says there are better days ahead for the business community in Nigeria, even as the elections are ongoing in the country.

Dangote, Who is Nigeria’s and Africa’s richest man, said during an interview with Channels TV that there is a lot of things happening in Nigeria, and the elections would not deter his companies from investing in the country. He said:

“I think from the business community, things are going to continue to grow in terms of trajectory. When I say it; I mean there are quite a lot of things that are happening in Nigeria.”

“We didn’t really bother whether election period or not, we have been investing heavily in the country and we would continue to invest. I think we would have better days ahead.”

Dangote recently moved up to 64th person in the World billionaires’ list, with an estimated $16.6 billion, after gaining $5.8bn within 24 hours. He has remained as the richest man in Africa for the 8th year running and the only Nigerian on the list of the top 500 billionaires, as released last week by Bloomberg in its yearly billionaires’ list.
