The Anglican Diocese in Enugu State has endorsed the Enugu state governor Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for second tenure.
The Most Reverend E.O Chukwuma (OON), Archbishop of Enugu Province, Bishop of Enugu, who officiated the Sunday mass at The Cathedral Church of The Good Sheperd, Independence layout Enugu State applauded Governor Ugwuanyi for his closeness to God and exemplary leadership style, which has brought peace and good governance to the state.
Prayers were offered for continued peace in the state and the forth coming governorship election on Saturday 9th March 2019 was also handed over to God for a peaceful election in the state.

In his goodwill message, Gov. Ugwuanyi who was represented by the The Hon. Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Enugu State, Sam Ogbu-Nwobodo, Esq., thanked the congregation for their prayers and also thanked the Anglican Church for the spiritual support, wise counsel, encouragement and leadership that it has offered his administration since inception.He pledged to continue to rely on the prayers, solidarity and goodwill of the church “as we work to fulfill the mandate graciously given to us by our people”
