Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and Social Development, has finally reacted her rumoured marriage to President Muhammadu Buhari which went viral on social media in 2019.
KanyiDaily recalls that last year, rumours emerged from the Aso Rock that President Buhari will be getting married to Ms. Farouq who has been his close friend for a very long time.
This came following the continued absence of the current First Lady, Aisha Buhari, who had been out of the country for over two months.
During an interview with Daily Trust, Sadiya responded to the “viral news” about her marrying Buhari.
She stated that the news is “fake”, adding that it has come and gone and she is still standing strong because she is a “real person”.
On if she has met Aisha Buhari since the rumour went viral, Sadiya said “No”.
She revealed that her busy work schedule has kept her from seeing the First Lady. The Minister added that they are all “focused” in their work.
