A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has disagreed with the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, whose weekly column argued the the President’s emergence, saved Nigeria from collapse in 2015.
KanyiDaily recalls that Adesina had stated that Nigeria would have been long forgotten had Buhari not taken over from the incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan, on May 29, 2015.
According to Adesina, Nigeria was a failed state until Buhari came along to save the nation’s downfall into oblivion by fighting insecurity, rabid corruption and devastated economy.
Reacting the the audacious statement on his Twitter page, Fani-Kayode said Buhari’s emergence has plunged the nation into deeper abyss.
Describing the last five years as disastrous, the former minister insisted that Buhari came to steal, kill and destroy. He wrote:
“Buhari’s emergence in 2015 saved Nigeria’s collapse”- @FemAdesina
“Not so my friend! The emergence of Buhari in 2015 annihilated Nigeria & plunged her into darkness, death & destruction. He came to steal, kill & destroy & for the last 5 disastrous years that is all he has done.”
KanyiDaiky recalls that Fani-Kayode had said that there is a possibility that the Muslims from the Northern part of the country are planning to retain power for the next 20 years.
