Kano Governor, Ganduje Heads 49-Member APC Campaign Council For Edo Governorship Election

Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been appointed as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council for Edo State governorship election.

This was made known in a statement issued by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, on Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Nebana said the appointment of Governor Ganduje and 48 others followed the approval of the Chairman of the party’s Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni.

The council chaired by Ganduje has four other state governors, the Deputy Senate President and two former National Chairmen of the party among others as members and Abbas Braimoh to serve as Secretary.

The campaign council will be inaugurated on Monday, 6 July 2020 at the Party’s National Secretariat, according to the committee.

Meanwhile, KanyiDaily had reported that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu emerged as the APC flag bearer for Edo governorship election slated for September 19, 2020.
