Nigerians Reacts As Elderly Grandfather Weds Young Girl In Northern Nigeria

Many Nigerians are currently reacting to the viral photo of a wedding between an elderly grandfather and young girl in Northern Nigeria.

A Renowned Journalist, Jackson Ude, had shared a photo of the couple’s wedding calendar on Twitter after their marriage ceremony which held on Friday, January 22, 2021.

Although the bride’s age was not disclosed on the wedding calender, but she’s believed to be below 15 years, while her groom is old enough to even be her great grand father.

Many Nigerians have taken to the comment section express shock and disappointment over the marriage with some questioning why such practices still prevail and are even celebrated.
