The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 70 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 164,303.
The NCDC made this known on Monday night via its official Twitter handle where it disclosd that the new cases were recorded in five states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
“On the 19th of April 2021, 70 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria,” the NCDC said.
“The 70 new cases are reported from 5 states- Lagos (27), Kaduna (16), Ondo (16), Yobe (6), and Bauchi (5).
“Till date, 164303 cases have been confirmed, 154384 cases have been discharged and 2061 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
