Two policemen have been killed on Monday morning during an attack by unknown gunmen at the zone 13 police headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra state.
It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the station in the early hour of today and opened fire on the police officers on duty, killing two of them.
The hoodlums set the police headquarters on fire. At least four cars parked at the premises were burnt as a result of petrol bombs they threw into the compound.
It is unclear to identify those behind the attack or the extent of damage caused as at the time of filling this report.
The incident comes just two weeks after the headquarters of the Imo police command was also razed by unknown gunmen.
