#JusticeforHafzat: Young girl maltreated by step mother in Sokoto cries out for help – PHOTOS

Concerned Nigerians are calling on the Sokoto State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria to look into the maltreatment of a teenager in Sokoto, Hafzat Zulkiflu by her Stepmother, Rahila Yakubu.

 

Hafsat who hails from Kebbi State has since the separation of her parents been in the custody of her dad and stepmother. Eyewitnesses reports that she is being punished on a daily basis by her step mum with help from her sister Hannatu Yakubu.

According to eyewitnesses, Hafsat, whose father Alhaji Zilkifilu Abdullahi Ajiya Argungu is a retired customs officer has been out of school (both Islamic and western) for a while now ran to the neighbor’s house early today while she was been punished for being stubborn.

 


The neighbors reported the case to the Human Rights Commission in Sokoto state.

Hafsat is currently at the State CID as investigations are still ongoing.
