A Nigerian lecturer was caught on camera telling his students that certificates will only empower them to become ‘miserable job hunters’
In the video, the lecture could be seen telling the students not to put their hopes on the certificate that will be awarded to them upon graduation.
He reminded them that there are thousands of graduates who have the same certificate and even higher ones yet they are all unemployed in Nigeria.
The lecturer cited a report that last three years, 27 PhD holders applied to work as truck drivers for Dangote, adding that “this is why it is better to work with your hands and earn money rather than seeking for a job.”
KanyiDaily had reported how a young graduate from Katsina State, Usman Abubakar burnt all his academic certificates due to his inability to get a job.
