Reno Omokri, a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against giving its 2023 presidential ticket to Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State.
The former presidential aide stated this while reacting to a statement made by a Twitter user who vowed that he won’t vote for any other candidate in the opposition party if not the ex-governor.
Reacting to the comment, Omokri said PDP shouldn’t bother wasting money on campaigns if Peter Obi emerges as its flagbearer because the ex-governor would be defeated by ‘any candidate’ in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He added Peter Obi knows he would be defeated if he should represent the PDP against APC in the 2023 presidential election.
Omokri said, “If PDP picks Peter Obi, they should just not waste any money for the general election. Whoever APC picks will defeat him. I know it is not what you guys from the SE want to hear. Even @PeterObi, knows this fact. Oya, insult! It is your work!”
KanyiDaily recalls that Peter Obi had recently expressed sadness that Nigerian universities are on strike while politicians are campaigning for the 2023 elections.
