Reno Omokri, a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, has placed a $500 bounty on an Instagram troll who threatened his daughter on the social media platform.
The presidential aide had shared a video where the spiritual director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka declared that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, would fail in the 2023 general election.
In the video, Father Mbaka stated that Peter Obi cannot be Nigeria’s President because he is a stingy man who refused to donate to the church.
After he shared the video on his Instagram page, a troll with the name @realex_2x threatened his daughter saying “Reno don’t get me upset. Now delete this post or you’re going to see what I gonna do to your daughter.”
Enraged by the threat, Omokri offered $500 reward to anyone who can reveal the true identity of @realex_2x, adding that he would also petition the Department of State Security (DSS) about the threat.
He wrote, “Please can you help me identify this fellow who goes by @realex_2x on Instagram? I will give out a cash reward of $500 to anybody who exposes his true identity.
“I am also petitioning the Department of State Security. If anything happens to my daughter, even if she gets a headache, the response will not be gentle.
“Even if you support Peter Obi, it is not, and I repeat, it is not okay for you to threaten my children. Is this the Nigeria we want? Where your children are threatened if you don’t support someone’s ambition?
“This person should not think they will get away, even if they deactivate th account. I WILL find you, even if it means hiring a US based lawyer to secure a court order compelling @Instagram to reveal your true identity and the exact IP address where you log in from.”
Meanwhile, a Nigerian lady simply identified as Josephine has revealed that she has dumped her boyfriend because he refused to support Peter Obi.
