Rapper MI Abaga Announces Plans To Change His Stage Name After 15 Years

MI Abaga has made a career changing decision on his stage name ahead of the release of his upcoming album.

Legendary NIgerian rapper, Jude Abaga has taken to social media to announce that he will be changing his stage name ‘Mr. Incredible Abaga’, better known as ‘MI Abaga’.

MI Abaga To Retire Stage Name

The rapper, who disclosed this in an Instagram post on Thursday, July 7, said he will also be announcing his new stage name when he put out his new album titled ’The Guy.’.

According to him, he will be using MI Abaga for the last time on July 10 during a performance where he will celebrate his legacy as Africa’s greatest rapper.

He wrote, “After over 15yrs as mister incredible, I will be retiring the name “MI Abaga” and taking on a new name for my new project because, my new album hard af and it deserves a new name.

“My final act as MI will be a performance at The Vibe on the 10th of July where I will celebrate my legacy as Africa’s greatest rapper. See you all from stage.”

KanyiDaily recalls that MI Abaga had recently lamented the lack of respect for the hip-hop music genre by Afrobeats artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
