The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi got a resounding welcome on Friday night when he attended the ongoing convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
The former Anambra governor made his first presence at the convention which was held at RCCG international headquarters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The convention which is the 70th edition for the church, with the theme, “Perfect Jubilee” began on Monday, August 8 and will last through Sunday, August 14, 2022.
The entire church went agog with loud cheers after the anchor introduced him at the redemption camp saying, “We welcome to the redemption camp for the first time Mr. Peter Obi.”
Others who were present at the convention on Friday were the president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Wale-Oke; Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel; and the wife of Ogun State Governor, Bamidele Abiodun; among others.
